Three beams with a different sectional profile, i.e. plane, with bulges and slanted, were successfully trimmed. The performance of the TTMJ trimmer and the finished concrete surface produced fully met the development team’s expectations. The photograph below shows the test sample with the bulges being prepared for installation into the test shaft.
Each test sample is made up of two 10m long concrete beams jointed together as they are lowered into the test shaft. Once installed, the jointed beam is secured in place using multiple hydraulic rams. The photograph below shows the trimmer getting to work on the test beam.
The next photograph shows the toe of the slanted sample after trimming.
The Trevi team proudly pose after their tremendous achievement.
